Christina Cleary : Wedding Makeup Artist Sydney

Have you ever had a job that just felt natural, that you were born to do it?

That's how I feel! I love what I do!

Since a very early age I have been surrounded by beauty; from gardens to art, fabrics and crafts, beautiful men and women...and a sister who is an exceptional model! Because of this I have always had a passion to create beauty and wanted to make people feel beautiful!

In pre-school I would sneak away to dolly corner. I would play up in math because I didn't want to add and subtract...I wanted to cut and paste! During senior school I attended Frensham, an all-girls country N.S.W. boarding school that has given life to some of Australia's greatest and renowned artisans; potters, painters, jewellers, actors, singers, photographers and make-up artists!  I took up pottery and photography and became 'head' of both in my senior year. In Year 12 I won a creative scholarship to study photography at KvB in North Sydney...but I was always doing makeovers on my friends!

Photography lead me to work in Hawaii where pure frustration affirmed my desire to become a make-up artist. I couldn't stand to photograph a bride with the wrong shade of foundation or lipstick, so when the make-up artist would leave I would pull out my box of tricks and re-do the brides make-up until it was perfect!

I still love photography but make-up is my true passion. I love the transformation process and the satisfaction when I step back and see a beautiful, confident face!

Over the past 12 years I have gained a wealth of experience. I've worked with women and men of all ages & backgrounds, well known celebrities, actresses and models plus some amazing photographers and hairstylists. I've built a business I'm very proud of with returning clients and created wonderful friendships along the way!
